PCI V4.0 – the key things you need to know now (free webinar)

If you haven’t yet worked out the changes you need to make for PCI 4.0, you might already be making the wrong decisions for your business. We’re running a short, free webinar that should get you on the right track…

Level 1 or 2 service providers and merchants who aren’t familiar with the changes PCI DSS V4.0 has introduced and what they mean for them, could be storing up significant problems. Because while it’s tempting to put off even thinking about it for now since yes, technically you can… We couldn’t recommend that approach any less.

Because the scale of the changes you’re going to have to make is more than even we imagined – and we already knew this was the biggest evolution of PCI DSS since V3.2.1 came out.

Our PCI QSAs attended the transition training last month and they described it as ‘mind-blowing’.

Key changes include:

  • Grouping of common control objectives
  • Scoping to become more integral to the standard
  • Recognition that Phishing and Social Engineering are important
  • Customised Approach to be based on outcomes – for organisations with mature security risk processes in place
  • Some wording changes
  • SAQ A will now include ASV scanning for 2025

Securious has many Level 1 and 2 service providers and merchants as clients, and we’re concerned about how much there is for them to do before the deadline (as of 31 March 2024, PCI DSS v3.2.1 will be retired and v4.0 will become the only active version of the standard).

The only way we can see this working for them is to start acting now. And step one is understanding what PCI V4.0 means for your organisation.

So if you’re yet to get your head around PCI DSS V4.0 and if you recognise that you are going to have to do something about it sooner rather than later…

Come along to our webinar on September 29th at 12pm. It’s 30 minutes long and in it, our QSAs will drill down into what you need to do and how we suggest you approach it, and they will be around for an additional 15 minutes at the end of the session to answer any questions you may have.

This is completely doable if you start now – but the longer you leave it, the more it’s likely to hurt.

So sign up here and we’ll see you on the 29th!
