ISO 27001 has been updated – join our webinar to find out everything you need to know

If you’re already certified for ISO 27001, you need to be aware that the standard has been updated. It’s important you understand what these changes are and what they mean for your organisation because they will affect your Statement of Applicability when it comes to recertification.

And just to clarify – the process itself for gaining certification for ISO 27001 has not changed. However, there have been some key updates to Annex A around the suggested controls: 11 controls are new and a total of 24 controls were merged from two, three, or more security controls from the 2013 version.

There’s a lot to get up to speed with, so we’ve gone through all of the changes and will be breaking them down in a webinar on 25th April at 12:00 pm. During the session, we’ll cover why ISO 27001 has been updated and talk you through the transition period. Then we’ll go into exactly what is changing, what it means for your organisation and what you should do as a result.

The webinar will be just 30 minutes long and will be hosted by Darren, our Operations Director and one of our ISO 27001 Lead Implementers. Darren has helped many of our clients successfully achieve ISO 27001 certification and is an expert on the standard, its implementation and maintenance.
