Exeter businesses join forces over innovative cyber security scheme
Exeter based Custodian Solutions has become the first brand protection company certified to use Cyber Essentials Plus.
Exeter based Custodian Solutions has become the first brand protection company certified to use Cyber Essentials Plus, a Government backed scheme to help businesses protect themselves against cyber threats.
Custodian Solutions works with multi-national brands and investigators to help prevent potentially dangerous counterfeit products reaching the market. Its cloud based service helps to build criminal cases against fraudulent manufacturers and suppliers of copy-cat goods.
Joel Stobart, CEO of Custodian Solutions, said:
“We take security and cyber-security protection of our customers’ data very seriously. We want our customers to be assured that when they do business with us, we are doing everything possible to protect their data, our critical systems and business operations. It’s great to be working with Securious, not only are they on the doorstep, they are also experts in their field with a wealth of expertise.”
Cyber Essentials Plus enables businesses to demonstrate that they are taking strong action to control the risks – critical if they are to protect themselves, their customers and their brands. Securious, the only company in the South West certified to carry out Cyber Essentials Plus validation, has been working in collaboration with Custodian, another business within the thriving Exeter Science Park, to accomplish this.
Pete Woodward, the founder of Securious, said:
“Cyber security is an increasingly important area for organisations to take seriously and failure to do so represents a significant risk both to themselves and their customers. Cyber Essentials Plus is an excellent government-endorsed standard and by taking this step, Custodian Solutions is demonstrating its good practice and commitment to protecting itself against cyber threats. We are very pleased to be working with Joel and getting to know the vibrant Exeter business community.”
Joe Pearce, Business Support Manager at the Exeter Science Park Centre.
“It is great to see two of our clients doing business together. We feel that one of the key benefits which businesses get by being based in the Centre is being able to network and collaborate with the other businesses. We have a growing number of tech companies in the Science Park Centre and a cluster of world-class expertise in cyber security.”…
